Yarn in Pittsburgh

Greetings from P-burgh!

In my haste to leave the house, I forgot to ask — can anyone recommend a good yarn store in Pittsburgh? It’s been a while, and I feel the need to pet some yarn.

All suggestions welcome (as well as good places to eat/things to see).

Um… Julia of Knitterly Things lives in Pittsburgh - she would probably be a great resource. I think she even works in a yarn store.

Your knitting is beautiful! I just finished Pomatomus socks in Koigu and I so agree with you on both the yarn and pattern.

I live just outside of pittsburgh in Crafton. There are alot of great shops to choose from. I frequent The Knit Shoppe in canonsburg, but that may be a little far for you. Try Knit One (its 2721 Murray Ave) in Pittsburgh. They have a website… I think its knitone.biz.

Oh and get some Peppis!!! mmmmmmm they have the best sandwiches EVER. Cheap too. They have a few locations. Ask someone, they will know.
