Just a note to say…

What craziness! I always forget how much I hate moving until I’m in the middle of it, at which point I swear I’ll never move again. I think my dad made some kind of joke about childbirth when I told him that… In anycase, I packed up all of my stuff:
…and hauled it all north. After much lifting, sliding, grunting, cursing, and bruising, all of it ended up (unbroken!) in my new place. I promise pictures (probably later tonight, along with some knitting and gifting news). I’m a little freaked out about being back — it’s a weird combination of familiarity and newness to be back in my old neighborhood, but in a new apartment. I’ve been avoiding my old haunts, afraid of running into people I know but am not ready to see. I know this will wear off and everything will settle down. In the meantime… Thanks for all of your kind wishes. As I said to friend this afternoon, “Knitters are awesome!” I’m waaay behind on my blog reading and commenting, so I’m sorry if I haven’t replied to any posts recently. But know that I’m reading and your support is much appreciated!

You’re there!! Missed you. *hug*
The transition is going to be hard–but you knew that. Just think, every single day it will get easier and more normal. Can’t wait to see some photos of your new life
Welcome home. May the light over the front door always be on and may the mailbox always be filled with packages and cards.
Hey, you’re in the same city as me, now! Welcome here! ;o)
