’cause I can’t read

Sigh. These were meant to be a quick knit.
Remember how my year began — with the complete inability to follow directions? Well, it looks like I’m keeping with this trend. I finished mitten number two this afternoon, only to find that a) the second thumb is longer than the first and b) apparently I didn’t follow directions on the first thumb and the thumb “gusset” is smaller (and actually fits better). So my finished mitten thumb turned into this tonight:
No patience to try and reknit (after all, it’s 1:45 a.m. and I’ve had a few beers). Take 2 tomorrow.
But oh, that’s some pretty yarn.
At least you can always rip it out . . .
Hopefully it went quickly and better in the morning!
Dang I hate it when that happens! I hope it isn’t too painful to fix!
