One down, no more to go?

Sorry for the absence. I’ve been dancin’ away in North Carolina. Right now, I’m holed up in the Charlottesville Panera, freezing to death (why, oh WHY must places in the south over-air-condition? I even brought a sweater with me and I’m still cold), trying to finish a chunk of this chapter for a self-imposed deadline on Friday. We’ll see how this goes. In the meantime, I’ll distract you with this:

My first (and possibly only) Baby’s Bootikin from Knitting Vintage Socks. I didn’t think much of the pattern in the book, but decided to knit it on a whim (and out of desire for a small project that used left-overs — baby socks are great for this) and I *love* it in person. The only problem? I’ve run out of the regia silk that I used for the main color. Anyone else have scraps of Regia silk in blue that they want to pop in an envelope and send my way? I’d be happy to send along a treat in exchange. This sock is just too cute to be a single.
I love that little sock, I hope you find your yarn! I think a dozen local babies will be born and grow up before I finish mine!
It’s adorable! I wish I had the scraps….
Love that sock. . . such great color choices.
PS: I am part of your Sound Swap. Haven’t heard from my pal, but did get my package sent off to my recipient. Wondering what you are hearing from the other swapees.
That Baby Bootikin is beautiful!! I wish I had some of the Regia Silk for you. Now I need to find another baby to knit for because I really love that pattern!
Oh no! I hope you find more yarn!
That is darling. What a bummer about that yarn shortage. I was short last month for the toe of a sock and did a shout out on the Lime and Violet Message Board. It helped me get the few yards I needed.
I love this darling little sock - I just know someone will come through on the Regia. It is so delightful - I may have to make my own pair after seeing yours!
I have some Regia Silk in dark navy blue, pop me an email!
