Because I would follow Brooklyn Tweed anywhere.

Pattern: Saartje’s Booties (also via Ravelry)
Yarn: Colinette Jitterbug in “Tuscany” (left over from my beret)
Needles: Clover dpns (2), US 2, 2.75 mm
Notions: 4 small antique shell buttons from my collection
There are no words. These might be the cutest pair of baby booties I have ever seen. I saw Tweed’s blog post and immediately cast on for my own. They take about an hour. Honestly. Only thing I don’t like? The seam up the back. But I can live with it. As my friend pointed out, they’ll probably only fit the baby for a day.

I leave you with my belated first contribution to Fiberlicious:

A big bowl of Lorna’s Laces Sorbet (Lemon Ice, that is). I couldn’t resist.
Those are so cute! I might just have to cast on for some of my own.
Adorable! Mmmm…. sorbet and cherries…
love the booties! Colinette Jitterbug yarn is great, what a nice way to put it to good use.
Fab fiber photo too.
i saw those the other day too and just about died from cute-overload. the only baby in my life though is about six months old - i think these would be too small. do you think these would be easy to make a little longer? i haven’t looked at the pattern yet.
I was just drooling over these at brooklyntweed’s, and yours are equally adorable. And the LL looks very yummy indeed!
They ARE the cutest booties. I love the color you used.
Nice Lorna’s Laces too —- that’s one of my favorite sock yarns.
Oh my god, that is gorgeous. The fiberlicious pic, I mean.
The booties are cute beyond words. Why is no one I know having babies? I want to knit baby things for them!
These are so cute I could cry!:) I have a co-worker being induced Tuesday and may have to try them - they are darling!
The booties are cute, but my heart almost stopped when I saw REAL cherries on that yarn. There’s no way I’d be that brave. *grin*
Those booties are sooo cute! And I love the fiberlicious picture–the contrast between light and dark is awesome.
Oh, they’re great! I’ve been craving knitting a pair of those ever since I saw them on Saartje’s blog. Yours look so cute! I have so much leftover sock yarn around…
ahhh… baby booties… is there anything cuter.
That is the coolest picture and I am in love with those booties.
Those are so adorable!
And the yarn looks yummy!
OK - I’m SO adding these to my list. They’re dreamy in the Colinette which I just happen to have in stash.
The booties are adorable! And the yarn definitely looks delish!
Oh, those booties are irresistible! So incredibly sweet, and the perfect yarn too!
